What are objects of national importance? Who holds them? What are the legal, ethical, practical obligations for museums, galleries and collectors holding these objects?
The Ministry for Culture and Heritage is researching issues around objects and collections of national importance in order to provide relevant advice to the government. The Ministry would like your input into their thinking and decision making around protecting objects of significance to New Zealand’s cultural heritage.
