Join us for MTG Opening Day and Carnival, 21 September 2013
The big day is almost upon us, and we are delighted to invite you to join in the celebrations!
The team at MTG Hawke’s Bay welcome you to the official opening day on Saturday 21 September.
The formal opening ceremony will begin at 9.30am. Napier Mayor Barbara Arnott and Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage Hon Christopher Finlayson will open the new building.
From 10:15am the MTG doors will open and all are welcome for a free walk-though of the new building.
Entry is free for the entire day. MTG is open until 6pm.
From 10.30am until 4pm Herschell Street will come to life with the MTG Carnival.
Gather your friends and family for a fun day out featuring hot dogs, merry-go-round, food stalls, face painting, maypole dancing, stilt walking, coffee, pipe band, performing artists, vintage cars, candy floss, jazz bands, ice creams, lolly scramble, jugglers, donuts, pizza and lots more besides. Some activities require payment but entry to the MTG Carnival is free.
