Lottery grants round for WWI projects – open now

The Lottery Grants Board has allocated $3 million for distribution, in the 2015/16 financial year, to WW1 Commemoration projects.

The Lottery World War One Commemorations, Environment and Heritage (LWEH) Committee is open for requests until 2 September 2015.  Eligible and complete requests received by 2 September will be considered at a committee distribution meeting in mid-December 2015.  The second funding round will open in January and close in February 2016, for a distribution meeting in late May of that year.

LWEH encourages communities/organisations to develop innovative projects that commemorate the centenary of WW1 and give insight into the contribution New Zealand communities made during and immediately after the Great War.

The Committee is interested in receiving funding requests towards WW1 commemorations including community events, activities and capital projects associated with commemorating the centenary of WW1.
